UDK 811.112.2 Немецкий литературный письменный язык
The article deals with such properties of the term as motivation, expressiveness, and stylistic neutrality. The purpose of the article is to study the problem of choosing language resources to designate new terms in the language. Motivated terms have a transparent structure, intelligibility, and easy to remember. However, in the presence of excessive imagery, there is a possibility that this term will remain a pre-term and will be replaced by its neutral equivalent. In turn, stylistically neutral terms, especially if they are formed on a Greco-Latin basis, have a great potential for consistency and derivation, which further contributes to the formation of terminological series and nests based on them. The materials of the article will find the practical application by the authors of new terms, translators, terminologists and Germanists.
