In the educational process of departmental university, it is necessary to form a positive attitude of cadets towards their future professional activities, increase interest in the educational process, and also help students to develop theoretical skills in real conditions. The article presents a study of the attitude of cadets to their future professional activities. For the most part, they represent well the service in the penal enforcement system, their professional choice is characterized by confidence and awareness, they understand the importance of constantly improving their professional level etc.
