Abstract (English):
The article considers an alternative out-of-court way of resolving a conflict situation (mediation), which has been actively used in recent decades in professional legal activity. The article describes the communication skills and abilities necessary for a mediator at different stages of mediation. The conclusion is made about the special importance of the lawyer-mediator’s possession of a number of communicative, in particular speech skills and abilities for successful mediation in the framework of professional communication.
