In modern reality, the communicative interaction of subjects of social relations, including legal relations, is inextricably linked with such a phenomenon as trust. The purpose of the study is to consider the problem of pluralism of scientific approaches to the concept of trust in jurisprudence. The research is due to the fact that the interpretations of trust proposed in legal science do not reveal its nature and essence in full and require consolidation of the main characteristic features of trust as a socio-legal phenomenon in a single definition. The article highlights the main approaches to the concept of trust in philosophy, sociology, psychology, and jurisprudence; an analysis of the variable manifestation of trust in law was carried out; a single meaning of the concept of “trust” as a socio-legal phenomenon is proposed.
