THE ISSUE OF PROTECTING THE POPULATION FROM NARCOTICS: CURRENT PROBLEMS AND SOLUTIONS
Abstract and keywords
Abstract:
Drug addiction not only destroys people’s lives, but also has a negative impact on the health of society as a whole, increasing crime rates, reducing labor productivity, and causing economic losses. Existing mechanisms for administrative responsibility are often ineffective due to a combination of objective and subjective factors. In order to improve the rehabilitation process, it is proposed to implement a set of measures related to treatment, creating a supportive environment, protecting the rights of drug users after completing rehabilitation, and providing opportunities for former patients to acquire new skills and abilities necessary for successful employment.
