The article considers issues of individual preventive work of district police officers in relation to persons committing offenses in the family and domestic sphere. The importance of this activity is emphasized in the conditions of high latency of domestic violence and the growth of the number of serious crimes. The regulatory legal basis for prevention, as well as specific measures applied by district police officers are analyzed: conducting preventive conversations, registering, issuing an official warning. Particular attention is paid to the need for interdepartmental interaction and systemic monitoring of persons prone to relapse. The sociopsychological factors contributing to the commission of violence, including alcohol abuse and the vulnerabilityof victims, are considered. The importance of a targeted approach and the formation of trusting relationships with the population is emphasized. A conclusion is made about the need to improve the legal mechanism of administrative prevention and strengthen the institution of district police officers as a key element of the public safety system. The article is based on statistical data, legislative acts and the results of scientific research, which allows for a comprehensive approach to the problem of preventing offenses in the family environment.
