ON THE FORMATION OF THE EURASIAN CIVILIZATIONAL IDENTITY OF RUSSIA
Abstract and keywords
Abstract (English):
The article is devoted to the analysis of the formation of the Eurasian civilizational identity of Russia, which has lasted for centuries. This process was not linear, serious doubts repeatedly arose in it, which was most clearly manifested in situations of civilizational choice. At the end of the 20th century, Russia experienced (and in some respects this process continues) a new period of uncertainty in its own civilizational identity. However, now in Russian society there is a growing tendency to return to its Eurasian identity, which is based on manifestations of the communal spirit, recognition of the importance of responsibility (and not just rights), justice as one of the highest ethical principles.
