The object of the research in the article is a modern youth subculture that unites teenagers, – quadrobers – in comparison with other subcultures of youth. The subject of the study – the nomination of a new subculture, its etymology, history, as well as the behavior and attributes of members of this community. The aim is to identify and describe the features of the emergence of quadrobers and to evaluate them from an ethical, linguistic, psycholinguistic, linguocultural and sociolinguistic point of view. The main tasks: to give the etymology of the lexeme “quadrobers”; to trace the history of the emergence of the named subculture; to consider the named youth subculture in the context of axiology, psycholinguistics and ethics of modern Russian society. The study analyzed the specifics of the behavior of quadrobers in comparison with other youth subcultures of the XXI century, whose names are also foreign words. We have given an etymological analysis of the new names. From the standpoint of axiology, the opinion of public and state figures of Russia, representatives of the media, and show business is presented. Conclusions are drawn about the consequences of the influence of the new youth subculture on its real behavior and lifestyle, as well as on the violation of national etiquette and linguistic norms. Special attention is paid to the influence of the quadrober subculture on their lifestyle and the reaction of society to this hobby of young people. The article presents a linguistic and ethical assessment of the features of the new subculture of youth that has formed in Russian society.
