The article discusses the tactics of a search - one of the most important investigative actions used by the preliminary investigation bodies in the process of proving. Speaking about the grounds, goals and signifcance of this investigative action, the author comes to the conclusion that the search is time-consuming and diffcult to perform, and therefore it is important to consider the types of search, as well as issues related to its preparation and successful implementation.
