A consistently high level of embezzlement of budget funds, including those allocated in the form of grants and subsidies, has been maintained over the past years in the Russian Federation. This is the reason for the search for the methods of countering these types of crimes. The article discusses some issues of the organizational and structural arrangement of departments of internal affairs bodies, features and problems of combating the theft of budget funds allocated in the form of grants and subsidies.
