The study is devoted to the study of general legal and special criminological measures to prevent extremist crimes committed among young people. In the introduction, based on the information provided, including the results of a sociological study, the relevance of the chosen topic is indicated. The content of the work is the analysis of normative legal acts of an anti-extremist orientation, individual special criminological measures of prevention and subjects of prevention. In the course of the study, the features of special criminological measures to combat crime and types of preventive work of internal affairs bodies are analyzed. In the final part of the article the results are summarized, conclusions are formulated with a proposal to improve law enforcement activities.
