The article is devoted to the study of the specifics of the theory and problems of practice in applying the protection of honor, dignity and business reputation of employees of the internal affairs bodies of the Russian Federation. An analysis of civil and law relations within the topic under consideration, as well as a sociological study aimed at obtaining information about the awareness of police officers about the rights and reasons for protecting honor, dignity and business reputation were carried out. Revealing the identified problems in cases of protecting the honor, dignity and business reputation of employees of the internal affairs bodies of the Russian Federation, the author highlights the importance of resolving them, proposes measures for improvement, and points out the need for an integrated approach to increase efficiency in achieving results that affect the authority of the internal affairs bodies as a whole.
