This article examines the phenomenon of the state through the lens of its value content, functions, and prospects for transformation in the modern era. Among the main functions of the state, ensuring the continuous and safe development of society, protective and creative activities are analyzed. The author analyzes the reflections of renowned authors on the future of the state and its transformations in the modern era.
