PROBLEMS AND PROSPECTS FOR IMPROVING THE INSTITUTION OF SUSPENSION OF PRELIMINARY INVESTIGATION

Abstract (English):
The author analyzes the theoretical aspects of the institute of suspension of preliminary investigation, identifies gaps and contradictions in its normative regulation, as well as suggests ways to improve the legislation. Special attention is paid to issues of terminological unification, expansion of grounds for suspension, ensuring the protection of the rights of participants in the proceedings and the introduction of digital technologies into criminal proceedings. Based on a comprehensive study, specific recommendations have been formulated for the modernization of the institute of suspension, aimed at achieving a balance between the effectiveness of the investigation and compliance with the principles of fair justice.
